  • Adds an option to prevent the crawling of site search pages.
  • Adds an option to prevent the crawling of /wp-json/.

  • Fixes a bug where the get_suggestions method would also return unrelated post types when you passed a post_type parameter.

  • Fixes a bug where the custom IDs of headings would be overwritten when editing a post with the block editor while having Yoast SEO Premium activated.

  • Temporarily reverts a fix that automatically included subheadings in the Table of Content (ToC) when they were upgraded from a paragraph block in order to prevent the above bug. We will revisit this bug to bring back a more stable fix in the future.

In Yoast SEO Premium 18.7, we’re expanding our recently introduced crawl settings. These features will let you turn off different things WordPress automatically adds to your site. Hardly anyone uses these, but these do add overhead to your site. You now have much more control over what you want search engines to crawl on your WordPress site. Check it out! Say hi to Yoast SEO Premium 18.6! In this release, we’re introducing more ways to control crawling on your site. We’re starting with a small addition to manage post comment feeds, but we’re expanding that in the coming releases. The feature is in beta, so we welcome your feedback!   • Introducing a new feature set to manage crawling on your site. In Yoast SEO Premium 18.6, we're starting with an initial crawl setting to turn off RSS feeds of post comments. This will be expanded over time.

  • Sets minimum WordPress version to 5.9 and tested up to 6.0.
  • Sets the minimum required version of Yoast SEO to 19.0.

Meet Yoast SEO Premium 18.5: This release includes some changes to make the Premium plugin work well with the new First-time configuration and some more fixes and enhancements to enjoy!   • Fixes a bug where a regex redirection would be created without a leading slash.
  • Fixes a bug where the thank you page would not be fully visible on certain screen widths.

Meet Yoast SEO Premium 18.4: a small Yoast SEO update, fixing a number of bugs, including several bugs related to the Wincher integration. With the Wincher integration, you can track the rankings of your articles in the search results. If you haven’t checked that feature out, please do so! We’ve also improved compatibility with PHP 8.1.   • Improves PHP 8.1 compatibility by preventing some deprecation warnings.

  • Fixes a bug where the social media share previews images, when in landscape mode, did not match the aspect ratio of their respective platform.
  • Fixes a bug where anchors of headings used in the table of contents block were not generated correctly for headers with non-Latin characters.
  • Fixes a bug where the Block titles of our Table of Contents, Related Links, Siblings and Subpages blocks weren't translatable.

  • The plugin will no longer block installation on PHP 8.0+ when installed via Composer.

  • Fixes a bug where the Insights and Link suggestions features would always be re-enabled upon plugin activation, even if the user had disabled them.
  • Fixes a bug where upgrade routines would only be run in the admin, which meant they would not be triggered when updating the plugin via the CLI without visiting the admin.
  • Fixes a bug where the Premium as an addon installation status could be reset when it didn't have to be.

  • Yoast SEO Premium now requires Yoast SEO to be installed and activated. The first time you upgrade to Yoast SEO Premium 16.0, Yoast SEO 16.0 will automatically be installed and activated for you.
  • Hides the 'deactivate' button for Yoast SEO on the Plugins page, as long as Yoast SEO Premium is active, because Yoast SEO Premium cannot function properly without Yoast SEO. When Yoast SEO Premium is deactivated, the 'deactivate' button for Yoast SEO will reappear.

  • Fixes a bug where the wrong HelpScout beacon would load, thus not showing an ‘Ask’ option.
  • Fixes a bug where the Estimated Reading Time icon placeholder would be output as ICON_PLACEHOLDER when the post content was rendered directly, for example in a Latest Posts block. The icon is no longer visible when the post content is rendered directly.
